A formation of a MiG-29, F-4F, Tornado and Eurofighter - quite an uncommon sight today in 2007. But nearly everyday business back in 2002 at Germany's Flight Test Centre WTD 61 (Wehrtechnische Dienststelle) in Manching.
Where? Manching AB, Germany When? 28/09/2002
In that year the WTD61 celebrated its 45th anniversary with a very nice event, the highlight of that being the flight displays with mixed formations and of course the special coloured blue&white Phantom 38+13, referring to the colours of Bavaria, but also containing Germany's black-red-gold and the symbol of the WTD.

Solo displays of all jet types (Tornado, 2 Eurofighters, Phantom, MiG-29) completed the formations and helicopters and propeller aircraft were up in the air a well. Even one foreign aircraft, an Italian MB339 of the RSV (Reparto Sperimentale di Volo, the ItAF Flight Test Centre) flew during the show. Whereas the flight display did not last that long the rarity of the types and the different combinations spiced up the day!
