Finally, after a long wait, I have prepared the photos of the "Salon du Bourget 2003". Just see it as a pleasant anticipation for the airshow season 2004 ;) Every 2 years the "Salon Internatiomaux de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace", or in English "Paris Air Show", is the big internationall aviation trade fair in Europe.
Where? Paris, le Bourget When? 15-20/06/2003
However, in 2003 things were a bit different. Due to political conflicts between France and the USA the participation from the other side of the Atlantic was drastically reduced and the SARS outbreak in Asia had its influence as well. The US companies were represented in the exhibition and with static displays, but did not send even one aircraft for the flight display. So the visitor had the chance to have a look at the flight performances of the new Airbusses and the new generation fighters from Europe, namely the Rafale, Eurofighter and the Gripen. Resuming the static and the flight display the 45th edition Aerosalon was good, but has definitely seen better times. Let's hope for some more aircraft participation at the 46th Paris Air Show, which will take place at the traffic jammed Le Bourget airfield from the 12th to the 19th June 2005.
