Tsuiki Airshow
Wow, amazing... already in the darkness at 6am people were streaming into the airshow ground, only to be stopped by the numerous souvenir and food stands - and the famous rope blocking off the static display area.

The 8th edition of the Airshow China held at the Zhuhai airport was announced this year with a strong participation of the China Air Force, the PLAAF (People's Liberation Army - Air Force). Preparations were thus made to visit this event with the hope to catch a glimpse of some hardware of this still very secret Air Force. The first announcement of the flying program was unfortunately glooming, but as each aircraft there would be a rare item I was really looking forward to this event.
Aerosvit-XXI 2010 was a good reason to go to the Ukraine. The airshow, which is actually more an Ukrainian aviation exhibition organized by and concentrated around the Antonov Design Bureau (ADB) was held at the companies headquarter at Gostomel, north-west of Ukraine's capital Kiev.
After the move from Brno to Hradec Kralove in 2003 it was time to see how (and 'to what') the CIAF (Czech International Air Fest) has developed, back at the airport where it originally started in the 1990s. In the meantime quite a lot has changed at Hradec Kralove, with the most important change being for sure the transformation from a military airfield to a small civil airport.
Just as many other nations Sweden did also celebrate the centenary of Aviation. It was in 1910 that a certain Carl Cederstrom was the first Swedish to be issued a pilot license. This anniversary was the reason for a series of festivities all around Sweden, one of them being the Airshow at Göteborg, hosted by the Aeroseum aviation museum, located at Säve, the same airfield as the Göteborg City Airport.
Who would have thought that after a highly variable forecast and heavy rain showers in the afternoon Shuttleworth's Evening Air Display commemorating the Battle of Britain would become a glorious event?! With the late start of the flying program around 17h30 there was fortunately enough time for the rain to pour down in the afternoon and for the storm clouds and lightings to move east of the airfield.
Duxford – Flying Legends airshow. Once you have been there once it is quite difficult not to come back, as this show offers a real blast of piston engine powered aircraft. No jets, no noise, just pure music. 2011 was another year for me to go back to this legendary show.
The highlight of the ILA Berlin Air Show 2010 was for sure the first public appearance of the new Airbus Military A400M transport aircraft. Though any other real big highlights were not on the list, the trip to Berlin was once again worthwhile due to the sheer variety of different aircraft, which numbered nearly 300.
2010 saw the 4th edition of Slovakia’s „National Air Day“ (NLD = Národných leteckých dní), once again held at the airport of Piestany. Compared to the previous year’s, the 2010 event did not change that much, and this was good so! Because where else can you see a mojar number of Slovak Air Force jets and helicopters see performing?
