The annual airshow at Nyutabaru is always a safe bet to see some amazing aerial displays of the JASDF. Three Squadron, either equipped with F-4EJ Phantoms or F-15(D)J Eagles, amongst them the nicely painted Aggressors, assure a stunning and varied display even without any other participants flying in from other airfields.
The bi-annual Airshow China at Zhuhai is more or less the only chance to get a view on modern Chinese aviation hardware, and to take some legal photos of it. That was the main reason to go there once again, and this is how it came out in the end.
What a show! MiG-29 Dogfight, M2000 "Ramex Delta", 2x Su-22 Fitter in formation flight, Eurofighter displays, the Red Arrows... Twelve years after its first edition the NATO Days at Ostrava were a stunning event.
The flight back from the 100th anniversary Air Show of the Serbian AIr Force from Batjanica was with mixed emotions. There were some very rare and unique aircraft and presentations to see, as a 'dogfight' between a MiG-21 and two MiG-29s, or local build and rare types such as the Orao and the Super Galeb.
The Florennes Air Show 2012, coinciding with the 70 years of military aviation at Florennes, promissed to become the biggest military airshow on the European continent. Planned in the middle of June the weather unfortunately did not play completely ball, but the flying program promissed many highlights.

Kazachstan might have become very well known by the 'Borat' movie, but fortunately this comedy is far from reality. Being the 9th largest country on Earth and celebrating the state's 20th anniversary in 2012, it is amongst the uprising ex-Soviet states and has to offer a lot.
The Meteorology Department at the Civil Aviation Affairs expected a rather cold weather today with some clouds at times. The forecast was for maximum temperature of 20°C and minimums around 15°C - at the end of January...

The airshow at Plasy was my personal season opening airshow in 2009. Located north of Plzen, Czech Republic, it offered a good reason to go for one day not mainly due to the flying program,…Read More
